Well Child Policy

Children who show any signs of illness, such as a runny nose, persistent cough, fever, etc. cannot be accepted into the nursery for the protection of all of the children. If it is determined that your child is ill during their stay in the nursery, you will be called/paged to come pick up your child.  Please use the following as a guideline for illness:

  • Free of vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours
  • Common cold/excessive cough
  • Any symptoms of childhood diseases, such as scarlet
fever, measles, chicken pox, strep throat, flu, etc., or any infectious contagious disease
  • Chicken-pox (all sores must be completely scabbed over and dry underneath)
  • Heavy nasal discharge (green)
  • Any unexplained rash
  • Any skin infection (i.e., boils, ringworm, impetigo, thrush, hand-foot-mouth disease, fifth disease)
  • Inflammation, discharge, or matted eyes

If your child has allergies or medical problems, be sure to tell a nursery worker.
