Meet the Newest Member of our Congregational Care Team
Long time Stephen Minister and congregation member, Glenn Dunn, is Westminster's assistant to Congregational Care. Glenn works in collaboration with our entire pastoral staff and under the supervision of Rev. Michelle Junkin aiding in extending outreach, visitation care, and concern of congregational care ministry of WPC. Glenn is active within the pastoral care rotation with weekly assignments of days to make hospital calls, nursing home visits, and occasional home visits to members identified by the Pastoral Staff and/or Pastoral Care team as being unable to attend church or regularly fellowship with our congregation. Glenn has begun the process of investigation and beginning steps of becoming a Certified Ruling Elder. In conjunction with this process, he has begun taking classes and enrolled as a student with Austin Seminary. Glenn served with Hillenbrand Industries and with Matthews International Corporation in the funeral service profession for 36 years and retired from that vocation in December 2014. Please extend a hearty thank you to Glenn for the many ways he serves the church!
Volunteer Pastors' Aid to Congregational Care
Another long time church member, Ross Howard, volunteers as a Pastors’ Aid to Congregational Care by joining the congregational care efforts with the pastoral staff and works in collaboration with Glenn Dunn, our assistant to Congregational Care. Serving as a volunteer in this capacity, Ross helps provide an outreach of compassion and care to the WPC congregation with weekly and monthly assignments. Please extend your appreciation to Ross for his service as a regular weekly volunteer to Congregational Care.
